How to Mine Cortex (CTXC)? Complete Beginner’s Guide

Cortex is a decentralized AI autonomous system. The blockchain wants to make AI consensus available for contracts. Traditional EVM is not able to run a smart contract on full node with complex inference computation, since the computational load is too heavy on CPU for a full node. The Cortex VM enables those inference instructions running on GPU / FPGA. The model conversion between different framework, like TensorFlow or MXNet, would be done by the team. The fee for a contract using those inference instruction set is going to be designed for GPU / FPGA. The team will also provide a basic model zoo with world class quality.

The project is founded by a group of hardcore veteran in blockchain field. The technical stack and knowledge reside in blockchain and machine learning, both the team members and advisor groups are top tier in the industry. They rethink and redefine the question that what would be a strong endorsement for a currency, meanwhile, the real “intelligent” smart contracts will be implemented.

Cortex Virtual Machine

The CVM is EVM-compatible with added support for on-chain AI inference, which utilizes the GPU instead of the CPU to execute nontrivial AI models on the Cortex chain.

AI Inference Engine — Synapse

A deterministic inference engine that guarantees exactly the same AI inference result across heterogenetic computing environments, allowing for deterministic on-chain AI inference without resorting to off-chain solutions.

AI Smart Contract and AI DApp

Cortex adds machine learning support to smart contracts and DApps to adapt to real-world use cases. Developers can use the popular language Solidity and off-the-shelf AI models on the Cortex storage layer to create AI-enhanced DApps and smart contracts.

Decentralizing AI Research

Cortex seeks to foster an open-source ecosystem where AI researchers and developers are incentivized more than ever to share their models with the world.

Now that we know the details about Cortex, let’s get to mining some CTXC!

Cortex (CTXC) Mining Pool: Those who have no idea about mining can easily start mining by watching this video.

Step 1 — Create Cortex (CTXC) Wallet Address

Before you Start Mining, you need a wallet address. There are various options for having an CTXC wallet.

Hardware Wallet: Ledger, Trezor

Exchange Wallet: Binance, Okex, Huobi, Bittrex

Step 2 — Download Mining Software

There are many miner applications where you can mining Cortex. Below we have explained in detail how to organize them.

Step 3 — Edit the bat File

lolMiner v1.26+ (Windows, Linux, AMD)

Open mine_cortex.bat file and copy / paste example below.

GMiner v2.53+ (Windows, Linux, NVIDIA)

Open mine_cortex.bat file and copy / paste example below.

miner.exe --algo cortex --server --user YOUR_CORTEX_WALLET_ADDRESS.YOUR_WORKER_NAME

Happy Mining.
